EYES – Dr. Abby Jakob

Dr. Abby Jakob
Dr. Abby Jakob is a native of Kingsville, Ontario and has spent eight years away from home at school. She is proud to be back to serve your family's eyecare needs.

Dr. Jakob attended Kingsville District High School, where she played basketball, soccer, volleyball, and badminton, as well as alto saxophone in the school's gold-medal winning jazz band! Dr. Jakob is bilingual in English and French. She received a full-ride scholarship to play basketball at Dalhousie University in Halifax, where she earned a degree with Honours in Kinesiology. She attended the Illinois College of Optometry, where she graduated summacum laude in may 2014. Her proudest accomplishment from optometry school was being voted "Colleague of the Year" by her peers.

Dr. Jakob enjoys spending time with her husband Patrick and her new baby, Max, in her spare time! She loves to spend time with her family and friends, go on a boat trip to Cedar Point and travel. She also loves playing with her cat and dog.
